Blacx Jewel 2012 Dropper Post
On the Blacx Jewel 3rd generation my main priority has been to make a very solid product, capable of working under extreme conditions, crash-proof and not easy to be damaged in case of abuse.
Oversized bolts and thick tube walls were used, but thanks to the easy implementation of a pneumatic cylinder in the MCL system, the result was a very light adjustable seatpost.
On the handlebar, the lever has been replaced by a simple button. It can be positioned at convenience, facing up or downwards, close to the grip and it can be operated with a small thumb movement.
The previous models had a very neat cable routing to main tube, but it is now further improved with a rear access, enables a quick and easy plug and unplug to take out the seatpost, and facilitates the cable replacement and adjustment.
A triple guiding line based on a square shaped linear guides system completely eliminates any radial/axial play. In addition this avoids radial flexion and guarantees a longer life than other guiding systems based on cylindrical pins or bearing balls.
MCL System was improved with low-friction polymers and a redesigned piston profile that achieves a smoother and silent activation, and a faster response.
